3) Diversified Incomes and Energy Sources

  • 192 bio gas plants are installed
  • 2500 improved cooking stoves are distributed in the community

 

4) Community Rights, Health and Welfare

  • 27 drinking water projects (partial supports like materials, grants and training)
  • 2200 toilets are constructed in the community
  • village clean up campaigns are being regularly conducted once in a month
  • 28 rubbish bin are distributed in schools and community
  • 84 stretchers are distributed to each village development committee
  • VDC periodic planning (based on four years time frame) is conducted
  • five community based organizations (CBOs) are formed and registered with Kaski District office
  • PRA survey of four VDCs and updated VDC data of five VDCs are conducted in Kaski district
  • 500 male and female participants participated in parent orientation and education programme conducted in nine centres
  • childrens’ nutritional and weight measurements conducted three times yearly
  • 35 child clubs formed and actively working with school hygiene and sanitation
  • 35 toilets are constructed and drinking water is provided each school
  • weekly awareness raising campaigns conducted: hand washing, toilet promotion in the community, school compound clean up and oral rehydration are conducted in most project area school
